UNITED METHODIST WOMEN

United Methodist Women is the largest denominational faith organization for women with approximately 800,000 members whose mission is fostering spiritual growth, developing leaders and advocating for justice.

United Methodist Women members raise up to $20 million each year for programs and projects related to women, children and youth in the United States and in more than 100 countries around the world.

From its beginning, United Methodist Women has focused on ministries with women, children and youth. A special emphasis of the organization has been to involve young women in all the ministries and leadership of United Methodist Women.

Do all the good you can, by all the means you can,

in all the ways you can, in all the places you can,

at all the times you can, to all the people you can,

as long as ever you can.

John Wesley

Christian Fellowship Subgroup

Christian Fellowship sub-group is comprised of mainly seniors, although some younger members seem to enjoy this group. We meet on the Second Tuesday of each month at 10:00 am in Cobble Hall. New members are always welcome in our Christian Fellowship group. This group has one of the best attendance records of the Church. Everyone enjoys the fellowship with each other and growing in our relationship with Jesus Christ.

Susanna Wesley Subgroup

The Susanna Wesley sub-group is made up of mostly ladies who have reached the “empty-nest time” in their lives. We are developing a creative, supportive fellowship with other United Methodist women. Our purpose is to get to know and support one another. We participate in other ministries of our church by raising money, praying for, and assisting in our church’s various mission projects. We invite you to join us the first Thursday of each month, September - May. These meetings are held in members’ homes where we share our joys, concerns, laughs, and sometimes tears. We hear an inspiring devotion and have a time to discuss our various projects. We enjoy light refreshments and visiting with our sisters in Christ.

We gather once a month to discuss serving opportunities in our church and surrounding communities and fellowship with other women in our church. We laugh, eat, talk about our lives and how we can make an impact for Christ. Join us on the first Thursday of every month.
